The Willingboro Police Traffic Safety Unit is responsible for promoting road safety and enforcing traffic laws within the community. The unit focuses on reducing traffic accidents, speeding, and impaired or reckless driving through targeted patrols and enforcement efforts. It also works on educating the public about safe driving practices, addresses hazardous driving conditions, and investigates serious traffic-related incidents. By prioritizing traffic safety, the unit helps maintain a safer environment for residents and visitors in Willingboro.

The Accident Investigation Unit is tasked with performing scale diagramming and detailed analysis of motor vehicle accidents involving fatalities or serious bodily injury. These officers attend advance training in accident investigation in which they are taught to apply mathematical formulas to the evidence and measurements of a crash scene to determine the sequence of events leading up to the crash. These officers also receive training in the use of laser mapping equipment to precisely diagram the scene of a fatal/serious bodily injury accident for evidentiary purposes.
