Crime Analyst
Moving towards an intelligence-led policing model, the Willingboro Police Department hired a crime analyst in July 2018. The office was created to assist with determining how to use the department’s resources effectively.
The crime analyst is tasked with collecting information related to crime resulting in an actionable intelligence product which assists our officers in developing tactical responses to threats and launching strategic planning initiatives related to emerging threats.
Recognizing that evidence-based decision making is critical to effective policing, this model has been used by the Willingboro Township Police Department for proactive directed patrol utilizing a target-centric approach.
