Youth Police Academy
The Willingboro Police Department Youth Police Academy is a FREE, three week, police academy style training program that is designed to expose high school students to the many different aspects of the law enforcement profession. While at the Academy, students, or cadets as we call them, will participate in a variety of activities that actual Police Recruits participate in as part of their training.

When the application process opens, applications will be made available at local area high schools (typically guidance offices), at the Willingboro Police Department Crime Prevention Office and Front Desk, as well as online. During the application period, a link to the application will be listed on this page.

PLEASE NOTE:
All applicants will be required to submit a completed application prior to the start of the Academy. A background check will so be conducted on all applicants.
Special Note to Parents:
This program is geared towards high school students with a true interest in the law enforcement. Our program is not a "scared straight" program nor is it designed to solve discipline problems. Students who are enrolled under this premise tend to be disruptive to the rest of the class and are removed from the program.
